As part of the August development update video, which gave us the unfortunate news that Co-Op and Forge modes have been delayed, the team at 343 has also given us our first insight into what we can expect from the next technical preview.

4 v 4 Arena

Players will be able to take part in a head to head arena match, though the team did stop short of giving more specifics – we can expect this to be somewhat like the previous technical flight.

Given the performance of the bot’s, I’m looking forward to seeing how I stack up against real players in Halo Infinite. If you would like to see some gameplay footage from the Technical Preview we played in, check out the video below.

Big Team Battles (BTB)

It’s the one we’ve all been waiting for, big team battles on large open maps. While we’ve seen a little bit of (what I assume is) big team battles in promotional materials, we’ve yet to get our hands on it.

From what 343 has described in previous videos, we can expect all-out warfare with weapon drop pods, pelicans dropping of vehicles and more.

I don’t know about you, but I’m probably more excited to play this than anything else. If you’re keen to play in the Halo Infinite preview flights, you need to make sure you’re registered over at Halo Waypoint!
