Season 5 has landed for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season, and it comes with a sleuth of new content. Beyond content, you can expect a retune of many in-game aspects and changes to Assault Rifles in particular.

The official patch notes indicate that you should maintain a keen interest in the Mobile Broadcast Stations around Verdansk. These also tie into some of the “red doors”.

It’s not too heavy an update for console players, but PC players can expect a larger update if they also have Modern Warfare installed:

Warzone Update Sizes:

  • PlayStation 5:
    • 13.7 GB

  • PlayStation 4:
    • 13.7 GB

  • Xbox One Series X / Xbox One Series S:
    • 13.2 GB

  • Xbox One:
    • 13.2 GB

  • PC:
    • 19.3 GB (Warzone Only)
    • 21.7 GB (Warzone and Modern Warfare®)

There’s been a renewed attention on the User Interface/Experience with an updated Ammo Box and Armour Box icon. Differently-abled players will also be able to make use of new “steady aim” options.

  • Added the option to have Steady Aim Behavior be a toggle instead of a hold for Controller and KBM.

    • This accessibility feature supports motor disability by eliminating the need to hold a button for extended periods of time in order to stabilize scoped Weapons such as snipers.
    • The setting has two options:
      • Hold: Press and hold to steady aim.
      • Toggle: Press to steady aim. Press again to stop.

    • Note: The setting cannot be used if the Change Zoom Shared Input setting is set to Steady Aim (Sprint/Tactical Sprint/Steady Aim Keybind in Warzone).
