Gamescom 2021 this year is an entirely online and virtual event, which is the case for many conventions or events that have gone online in the wake of COVID. Nonetheless, Xbox has announced when and what we can expect for their 2021 presentation.

Now I know everyone is sick to death of doing time zone conversion, so here’s the when for Aussies: 25 August 2021 @ 3 AM AEST (Sydney) time.

With that out of the way, we can look at what you can expect from this years Xbox Gamescom presser. While Microsoft has not let slip any specific details, they’ve told us that we could expect an update regarding previously announced Xbox Game Studios titles, some of which we should expect to drop later this year.

Geoff Keighly will be hosting the opening night, and you’ll be able to watch the opening night Live on TwitchYouTube, Twitter and Facebook Gaming. You should also keep an eye out for Bethesda’s mainstream on twitch!

Beyond that, Microsoft has been a little light on details. On a side note, it seems there will be some sweet deals kicking around as well. Well, if you’re in Europe, you’ll be in luck.

During gamescom we’ll run a digital Xbox gamescom Sale for our fans in Europe. You can score big savings of up to 75 percent on a range of iconic games for Xbox consoles or Windows 10 PCs.

Sorry to say, it seems that no such savings will make it down under.
